Teenage Robot is about to be on the air FIVE DAYS A WEEK! When the networks put on reruns of a show every day of the week, it's called "stripping" a show. Well starting right after Labor Day on September 6th, Nick will be stripping MLaaTR at 3:00 every weekday!!! But that's only part of the huge news. That first week will be ALL NEW EPISODES! Tuesday the 6th: new episode! Wednesday the 7th: new episode! Thursday the 8th: new episode! Friday the 9th: new episode! Your patience is finally being rewarded!!!!

STORYBOARD PITCH TODAY! This afternoon, Brandon, a brilliant MLaaTR storyboard artist, will pitch the next-to-last episode of season three: "Honor Among Robots." Can you believe we're working on the end of season three before you guys even see all of season two? FYI: "Honor" is one of the few stories written by a freelancer this season... actually two freelancers, Dwane and Shahrzad. In this episode, Jenny returns to Japan and accidentally dishonors a robot samurai.

RUMORS!!! There are rumors, just rumors mind you, that Nick will be airing new episodes of Teenage Robot in early September. This is unsubstantiated and could change and I'm not promising, but if they do air some more of the season two episodes, which will be first?!? Bradventurer? Teenage Mutant Ninja Troubles?!? Toying with Jenny?!?!? Only time will tell...

WELCOME BAKE O'FIELD DAY! Well, yesterday's "Welcome Back Rob / Bake Off / Field Day" lunch was a taste-tempting treat for everyone on the staff (although it left everyone bloated and obdurate.) Rob himself judged the entries, and after saying something complimentary and incoherent about each and every one, he made his decision.

KRACKUS?!? Search for pictures of "Krackus" on google and the only picture you'll find is these post-Kiss poseurs. Where's all the Krackus fan art?!?! Meanwhile, here at Nick, Rob is back after a long-deserved vacation, so no more goofing off or long lunches for us as he cracks the whip to get you the third season episodes you deserve. We do have time, however, for a lunchtime welcome back party and bake-off today. Ah, life on MLaaTR... it's always a party.

IN THE BACKGROUND. Anybody ever stop to count how many locations there are in an episode of Teenage Robot? The average episode has 5200 unique backgrounds! Okay, not that many, but more than most shows. Watch Scooby Doo a couple of times and you'll see the same background 20 times in a row. Not only are we providing you with a higher quality show, but we're keeping background artists and painters employed, thus giving a well needed boost to our economy! All Hail Teenage Robot!

THE LEGION OF EVIL!!! A while back we told you about a third season episode called "The Legion of Evil," where several of Jenny's B-Level villains team up to take her down. We're now past the storyboard stage and well into the design on this episode. When each villain appears for the first time, we'll see very dramatic, very detailed "beauty shots" of each of them. Does everyone know who this bad boy is?

SNACK ON THIS!!! In the past we've featured non-MLaaTR artwork by Seonna, Alex, and others to show that we are artistic beings even beyond the walls of Nickelodeon. But not all art is pretty. Kimberley, a vital member of our production staff, is a writer/performer in a comedy troupe that is staging a new live show called, oddly enough, "Corntato!" It will be in San Fran next month and L.A. in October. You can get more info at www.corntato.com, but BE WARNED. The site and its links may contain content and language not appropriate for all ages and is in no way condoned, approved, or sanctioned by Nickelodeon, Viacom, MLaaTR, Rob Renzetti, MTV, Frederated, or the Society for Inbred Monkeys.

THE NICK BOOTH AT COMICON! Okay, I know Comicon was weeks ago and it's old news to everyone, but I finally got some pictures!!!! So if you didn't make it to San Diego, you missed seeing these real life Nick employees handing out freebies, show creators signing posters, and round-the-clock screening of Nick Cartoons... especially Jenny cartoons.

SHELDON GETS A HUG! For those of you who saw "Escape From Cluster Prime" this weekend, this fanart should ease your angst over Sheldon's huglessness. And for those of you who haven't seen it yet: Don't worry. We won't spoil it for you. But it's great to see how many people emailed the blog to say how much they liked it. Now on to the rest of season two! We have four episodes ready to air (and the final one almost done) and a September airing is likely, but not confirmed yet. No word yet on when season three episodes will start airing, but we'll keep you posted.

CRAZY CLUSTER COLORS!!! For the few people in the universe who have already seen "Escape from Cluster Prime," one of the things they love is the amazing color work by Leticia and Chris. Each scene and location has its own distinct palette and depending on the lighting and the mood, Jenny herself takes on different hues. And you guys thought she was blue!!!

MLaaTR GETS 3 "WIN" NOMINATIONS! Teenage Robot has been nominated for three Women's Image Network awards. The WIN Awards honor TV shows, films and commercials that either feature a female lead, or which are created, directed and/or written by a woman. They are a premier showcase for work in the media industry that helps advance the status of women around the world. We're nominated for best animated series (woo-hoo!) with Audrey up for best actress and Chad up for best actor. Awards will be presented at a ceremony at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles on Monday, September 26.
